Despite his holier than thou attitude towards non-traditional media outlets, Drew Sharp has no journalistic integrity.  He wrote an article for USA Today in which he misattributed a quote to Rush Limbaugh in an effort to further his own agenda.  He “reported” that Lloyd Carr had not shaken hands with Bobby Williams in the aftermath of the famous “Spartan Bob” game.  When confronted with video evidence that a handshake did happen, he still denied it.  While the above actions are the make of a man with no scruples, I will concede that Sharp hasn’t plaigarized or created a story whole cloth out of his own imagination a la Jayson Blair…yet.

Drew Sharp is not married and has never had a serious relationship with a man or a woman.  For a middle aged man, this is a personality flaw.  I don’t really have any concrete facts to back this assertion up, other than I’ve never heard him mention it in all his radio shows.  This is the same level of background investigation that Sharp did before penning his piece, so I feel like all journalistic principles have been met.  I have heard reports that in order to meet some of his more base desires, Sharp has videotaped himself urinating on females of unknown age.  He has never been convicted of that crime, but neither was R Kelly.

Drew Sharp is a huge fan of dog fighting.  Loves it.  How do I know?  Just look at the picture.  He supports Michael Vick.

Drew Sharp has written the worst book in the world.  It has one star on Amazon.  It’s #3,868,729 in books.  Stan Barnes wrote a book titled “What I Learned In Life From A Liquid Manure Pit.”  It has five stars on Amazon.  It’s #1,988,112 in books.  Stan Barnes wrote a more compelling book about a liquid manure pit than Drew Sharp did about metro Detroit sports.  With the backing of the Free Press and assorted local media behind him, it takes a profoundly horrible writer pull off that feat.

As seen in the adjacent picture (courtesy of MVictors), Drew Sharp refuses to sit with the common media.  He’s a “columnist.”  He’s “bigger” than the assorted rabble before him.  He drives a “Dodge Stratus.”  He wears leather coats to look “tough.”  He grows a goatee to look “bad ass.”  He loses his hair to look “distinguished.”  He wears women’s underwear to “avoid chafing.”  He keeps a step stool in his trunk in case he happens upon a horse he wants to “bugger.”  His favorite movie is “Old Dogs.”  Just because these things haven’t been proven in a court of law doesn’t mean they’re not true.

The worst part is that Sharp holds his audience in open contempt.  He has stated that “You (the audience) morons should make sure you get both sides of the story before saying something definitively.”  He genuinely dislikes his readership and listeners.  I’m not sure why anyone would indulge Sharp in his patently sadomasochistic fantasies, yet here I am.  Perhaps I’m a glutton for punishment.  Or perhaps I think Sharp was disgustingly indecent to a high school senior on what should have been (and hopefully still was) the best day of his life thus far.  Either way, grab your snorkel.  We’re chest deep in liquid manure.
